The loss of a loved one can be a very
difficult time in anyone’s life. It often leads to a time of great
grief, and at times you may not know how you are going to go on. While
nothing will make this process easy, there are things you can do to help
yourself recover and heal.
1.Don’t Set a Time Table
One of the first things you need to
remember is not to set a time table for your grief. People grieve in
different ways, and it may take longer for you to heal than someone
else. This does not mean that you are weaker. Worrying that you are
taking too long to grieve will likely only make the process more
difficult for you.
2. Look Into Counseling
It can be incredibly helpful to talk to
someone about how you feel. Having a neutral third party who is not
going through the same thing as you can help you process and sort
through your emotions. Don’t be afraid to seek counseling if you feel
that you need someone to talk to. This is a completely normal part of
the grieving process.
3. Be Prepared to Feel a Wide Range of Emotions
Sadness is likely not going to be the only emotion you feel. Some other common emotions include but are not limited to:
• Shock
• Anger
• Confusion
• Fear
• Guilt

differently. There is not just one right way to grieve. For more
